Denmark at the Oscars

Polish-Danish production “Ida” has been nominated for no less than two Oscars: Best Foreign Language Film and Best Cinematography. The film is co-produced by Christian Falkenberg Husum for Phoenix Film. The music is composed by Kristian Selin Eidnes Andersen, sound design by Claus Lynge.

Irish-Danish “Song of the Sea” has been nominated in the Animated Feature Film category. Frederik Villumsen and Claus Toksvig Kjær from Danish animation production company Nørlum have contributed with 36 minutes of animation.

Actor Ulrich Thomsen stars in the Israeli “Aya”, nominated for Best Short Film.
