Dar Salim to star in new Danish war drama

Danish actor Dar Salim is set to star in a new Danish series titled Warrior (Kriger in Danish), which will focus on the war.

In the series, we meet war veteran CC (Salim), who is back home in Denmark after active service in a war zone and is haunted by his last mission that went horribly wrong. In it, his first best friend Peter was killed in action. CC is plagued by guilt and kind find a place for himself. To ease his conscience, he helps Peter’s widow, the police investigator Louise (Danica Curcic), who has a particular interest in gang crime and, in particular, rocker King Tom (Lars Ranthe).

Warrior will be directed by Christoffer Boe, who has previously directed Sex, Drugs and Taxation. 

Also starring in the series is Nicolas Bro (a Christoffer Boe regular – see Offscreen for the perfect example!), Søren MallingNatalie Madueño, Jakob Oftebro, and Andrea Vagn Jensen.

Warrior is due to premiere on TV2 in Denmark in autumn 2018. No international release date has been announced.
