Danish films hold 43% of the market in the first quarter of 2015

Danish films have so far been dominating the domestic box office. In total, 1,850,000 tickets have been sold for Danish titles. For a comparison, 3,350,000 tickets made up the entirety of Danish films in all of 2014.

The most popular film so far has been Men and Chicken (read our review here), followed by Hella Joof’s comedy All Inclusive. Equally popular among the Danes in the first three months was Susanne Bier’s drama “A Second Chance,” with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Ulrich Thomsen in the lead roles.
