Danish film statistics for 2014

The Facts and Figures for 2014 have been released by the Danish Film Institute, detailing the big names for last year. The crime thriller The Absent One came out on top, beating out big name American films such as Frozen. The comedy sequel The Reunion 2 was the second biggest film of the year, proving yet again that it is the biggest and best comedy of Denmark. The largest documentary of the year was Skyggebørn, and Danish films accounted for 27% of the market.

4. Speed Walking (251,000 admissions)

5. Silent Heart (237,000 admissions)

6. Crumbs – All at Stake (225,000 admissions)

7. Someone You Love (167,000 admissions)

8. Waltz for Monica (159,415 admissions)

9. Familien Jul (159,017 admissions)

10. The Cartel (127,407 admissions)
