Danish film festival to be held in the Philippines

The fourth edition of the Danish Film Festival in Manila is set to begin tomorrow.

Four of the films that have been selected are having their premiere in the Philippines. The line-up includes Susanne Bier’s Oscar-winner In a Better World and Martin Z’s World War II film Land of Mine. The full line-up is:

  • The Shamer’s Daughter (2015)
  • Walk With Me (2016)
  • Otto is a Rhino (2013)
  • In a Better World (2010)
  • Waltzing Regitze (1989)
  • Terribly Happy (2008)
  • Dagsin (2016)

Dagsin is an award-winning independent film by Filipino filmmaker Atom Magadia that was inspired by the ideas of Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard and French Existentialist Albert Camus.

The festival is organised by the Embassy of Denmark and is held in Robinsons Movieworld, Robinsons Galleria. The films are all free to attend.
