Dag Johan Haugerud to direct CHILDREN

Norwegian author-director Dag Johan Haugerud is set to direct Children, a new feature film that explores the accidental killings of children.

The film will follow thirteen-year-old Lykke, a pupil at a primary school in Oslo and the daughter of a Labour politician, kills one of her schoolmates, Jamie, the son of a high-profile right-wing politician, by accident. Norwegian actress Henriette Steenstrup will star in the film.

Previously, Haugerud received four Amanda Awards for his I Belong (2012), including Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Director. Children will be produced by Oslo’s Motlys and shoot from September. The film is due for release in autumn 2018.
