Czech film festival Summer Film School 2015 focuses on Finnish films

The Czech Summer Film School 2015 film festival this year will be focusing on Finnish film, with thirty Finnish films to be screened. The aim is to convey the whole film history of Finland, and director/producer Mika Kaurismäki will attend the festival as one of the guests, along with his films Road North and Three Wise Men screening.

Industry expert Olaf Möller will be the presenter of the films, which include Edvin Laine’s The Unknown Soldier (Tuntematon sotilas), and the new productions, such as Dome Karukoski’s The Grump(Mielensäpahoittaja).

Summer Film School is a film festival located in the town of Uherske Hradiste in Czech Republic. 21st edition of the event takes place between July 24thand August 1st, 2015.  It is an educational, non-competitive festival. Annually, around 6 000 visitors arrive to the film festival, where about 220 feature films and 150 short films are shown. Several big names in the industry have attended the festival, such as Terry Gilliam, Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Aki Kaurismäki.
