Claes Bang to play Dracula in new British series

After his breakthrough role in the Palme d’Or-winning Swedish film The Square, Danish actor Claes Bang has seen an increasingly prominent rise to fame. Now, he has been cast in the BBC’s mini-series based on the classic Dracula story.

The mini-series is inspired by the Bram Stoker novel and has been written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, who are behind the popular Sherlock series.

Claes Bang can currently be seen in The Girl in the Spider’s Web, but he has several other projects in the works.

The mini-series is a co-production with Netflix and filming is set to kick off next year. It will premiere on BBC One in the UK before being shown elsewhere on Netflix.
