The Danish actor-turned-Hollywood superstar Claes Bang has now been cast as a recurring guest in the television series The Affair, Variety reports.
Bang will play a man named Sasha Mann, who is a charismatic (obviously), A-list movie star (art imitating life?) who will play an influential role in both Helen and Noah’s lives. Sasha is Helen’s new love interest, and his minimalistic lifestyle influences how she lives her own life in the wake of a personal loss.
Confused about the plot? Well the whole series is Noah, a NYC schoolteacher and novelist, and he has a wife of twenty years and four children. Then we have Alison, a young waitress and wife who lives in Long Island and is trying to put together her life after a tragedy.
Claes Bang was a small-time actor before his breakout role in Ruben Ostlund’s Palme d’Or-winning The Square. Since then, he has played parts in The Girl in the Spider’s Web, The Bay of Silence, and The Burnt Orange Heresy.
What will Claes do next?
In the meantime, will you watch season five of The Affair with Claes Bang in it?
