Carl Th. Dreyer Prize awarded to Puk Grasten & Christian Tafdrup

This year’s Carl Th. Dreyer Prize has been awarded to director Puk Grasten and actor/director Christian Tafdrup (pictured).

The award, presented by the Carl Th. Dreyer Memorial Foundation, and is presented to ‘younger filmmakers and artists working in the film industry in recognition of an outstanding artistic achievement’.

The fund is named after Carl Theodor Dreyer, one of Denmark’s most acclaimed directors.

The Memorial Fund’s income is based on a gift from Dreyer’s daughter, Gunni Dreyer, who gives a percentage of revenue from the film The Passion of Joan of Arc to the foundation.

Both directors will be awarded 25,000 Danish kroner.
