The hit Norwegian racing series, which looks somewhat similar to the Fast and the Furious franchise, has a third film coming.

The premise of the series is that Roy (Anders Baasmo Christiansen) is challenged to compete in various races around Norway. Børning saw Roy race 2000km from Oslo to the North Cape. In Børning 2, Roy has to race from Bergen in West Norway to Murmansk in the far north of Russia. There is fun for the whole family in the series; in the first film, Roy has to take care of his daughter while racing, and in the second film, his daughter comes along once again, but this time with her boyfriend.

Børning 2, which was released late last year, was one of the biggest films in Norway with 438 155 admissions (the third biggest film that year).

Nothing is known of Børning 3, but Hallvard Bræin (Trollhunter) will direct again (he did the other two Børnings), and the same writer, Christopher Grøndahl, is also on board. Anders Bassmo Christiansen is confirmed as starring in Børning 3.

We’ll let you know when we find out more! In the meantime, let’s enjoy the trailer for Børning 2:
