Birgitte Hjort Sørensen to star in new television series

Birgitte Hjort Sørensen is set to star in a new Danish-Swedish-German television series titled Greyzone.

The show is about a drone engineer (Sørensen) who is taken hostage by terrorists while secret services in Denmark and Sweden fight around the clock to prevent an attack.

Tova Magnusson, Joachim Fjelstrup, Ardalan Esmaili, Karin Franz Körlöf and Johan Rabaeus are also in the series.

Greyzone is created by head writers Oskar Söderlund and Morten Dragsted, alongside showrunner Rasmus Thorsen and producer Tomas Hostrup-Larsen of Cosmo Film. Jesper W. Nielsen will direct the first five episodes.

Filming takes place from June until December 2017 between Copenhagen, Stockholm and Frankfurt and will premiere on TV2 and C-More in spring 2018.
