Angelo Badalamenti Collaborates With Daniel Dencik

The celebrated composer of David Lynch’s Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive, Angelo Badalamenti (pictured) is busy fine tuning the score for the Danish epic adventure Gold Coastdirected by Daniel Dencik.

The first feature film by the award-winning documentary filmmaker (Moon Rider) was introduced as a work in progress at Göteborg’s Nordic Film Market. “It feels like my whole life was destined to make this film” said the versatile director, also known as film editor (Into Eternity), poet and novelist.

Set in 1836, Gold Coast is a biopic of Danish botanist and visionary Wulff Frederik Wulff who travelled to Africa’s Gold coast to supervise a coffee plantation, but his best intentions were tested by the realities of slave trade. In the main roles are Jakob Oftebro and Danica Curcic. The drama produced by Haslund/Dencik Entertainment will open domestically on July 2, 2015.
