AMC Network picks up Swedish series BLACK LAKE

The Swedish fantasy thriller series Black Lake (Svartsjön) has been picked up by the US/Canadian streaming service Shudder.

The series is about a group of young friends and the unsettling chain of events that occur when they visit an abandoned ski resort. The series was written by Ulf Kvensler, Moa Herngren, Peter Arrhenius, and Jonathan Sjöberg, and directed by Jonathan Sjöberg and David Berron.

When Black Lake aired back in 2016, it was number one each week on the Swedish channel TV3. The series then moved to Viaplay.

Black Lake will first air in the UK on BBC Four later this year.
