All3Media International picks up Sweden’s BLINDED

A new Swedish television series called Blinded has been announced, with the company All3Media International investing in the series, making it the first non-English-language drama project it has invested in.

Blinded was announced last year. The series is about a young female business journalist who exposes a trio of bank executives. It is inspired by real events and is set within Stockholm’s financial district.

The series is directed by Jens Jonssen (Easy Money, pictured) and written by Jesper Harrie (Solsidan) with co-writers Maria Karlsson (Easy Money) and Jonas Bonnier (The Helicopter Heist). FLX is producing and All3Media International will handle international sales.

FLX is currently producing the first Swedish Netflix Original series titled Quicksand. Voted Nordic Crime Novel of the year in 2016, Störst av Allt (Quicksand) centres around a mass shooting that takes place at a prep school in Stockholm’s wealthiest suburb, and a normal high school student, Maja Norberg, who finds herself on trial for murder. When the events of that tragic day are revealed, so too are the private details about her relationship with Sebastian Fagerman and his dysfunctional family.
