Alicia Vikander to star in THE MARSH KING’S DAUGHTER

The Swedish actress Alicia Vikander will star in a new film directed by the Norwegian Morten Tyldum.

Titled The Marsh King’s Daughter, the film is a psychological thriller about a young girl who has a dark secret about her incarcerated father. It is based on Karen Dionne’s best-selling novel.

Alicia Vikander is known for her Oscar-winning performance in The Danish Girl, and recently starred in Euphoria, which is produced by her company Vikarious Productions. Morten Tyldum had huge success with 2011’s Headhunters and has since been working abroad with films like The Imitation Game.

The Marsh King’s Daughter is being handled by STX International, who will distribute the film outside the US and present the project to buyers at the European Film Market. STX will distribute the film in the UK and Ireland.

No release date has been announced.
