Alicia Vikander lends her voice to ARDEN’S WAKE: TIDE’S FALL

The Swedish actress Alicia Vikander has lended her voice to Arden’s Wake: Tide’s Fall, a thirty-minute VR experience.

Vikander will voice the protagonist, who is a young girl in a post-apocalyptic world. The girl and her father live in a cottage “built on top of an underwater future Manhattan,” and that Meena’s mother drowned in the unknown calamity that destroyed much of civilization.

The prologue, which established much of the plot, debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017.

“Meena’s character has a special spark, and I was immediately drawn to her when I experienced her in VR,” said Vikander in a statement. “The movie daringly brings up difficult situations while also allowing viewers to get quite close to the characters in such an immersive and emotional experience.”

Vikander is also executive producing the VR experience with her Vikarious Productions company.

Arden’s Wake: Tide’s Fall premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend.

You can currently see Alicia Vikander as Lars Croft in the new Tomb Raider film.
