Alicia Vikander joins the cast of ‘The Earthquake Bird’

The Swedish actress Alicia Vikander has joined the cast of The Earthquake Bird, a new movie set in Tokyo, Deadline reports.

The film revolves around a young female expat who is suspected of murder when her friend goes missing the wake of a tumultuous love triangle with a photographer. To be honest, the plot sounds pretty interesting!

Wash Westmoreland adapted the script from a novel by Susanna Jones, and he will also direct the film. Westmoreland is perhaps best known for his previous film Still Alice.

The cast includes Riley Keough and Naoki Kobayashi. Kobayashi will play the leading male role of Teiji, the handsome and mysterious local photographer. Vikander will play the young expat.

The Earthquake Bird is currently in pre-production.
