The Buffalo International Jewish Film Festival kicks off this week, and among the line-up of films screening is the Danish film Across the Waters.
Directed by Nicolo Donato, Across the Waters tells the based-on-true-events story of the Danish Jews’ escape to Sweden in October 1943. The film stars David Dencik and Danica Curcic, and you can read our review here.
The festival is screening twelve award-winning films from all around the world at the Amhert Dipson Theatre in Buffalo, New York. The festival aims to promote diversity in Jewish stories and culture, and part of this year’s festival is about finding diversity in places not usually considered Jewish. The festival will screen a special Indian section.
The Buffalo International Jewish Film Festival runs from the 9th of March until the 15th of March.
