A third season of the comedy ‘Norsemen’ has been announced

Less than a month after the second season premiered on Netflix, a third season of the hit comedy Norsemen has been announced.

Set in 790AD, Norsemen features the daily challenges of people living in a small Viking village, from power struggle, brother rivalry, gender equality, to betrayal and friendship. “It’s the story of people from our time, but living during the Viking era. Of course everyday choices have far more dramatic consequences and that makes for great comedy material.

Norsemen is shot simultaneously in English and Norwegian. The English version premiered on Netflix on the 26th of September, whereas the Norwegian version premiered on NRK last month.

Season three will be created by the show-runners Jon Iver Helgaker and Jonas Torgersen with a release to be some time in 2019. The creators use social media to collect feedback and give them something fresh for season three, while also containing the best elements from the first two seasons.
