A sequel to the Finnish superhero film ‘Rendel’ has been announced

A sequel to the hit Finnish superhero film Rendel has been confirmed as the Canadian sales agency Raven Banner launches world sales in Cannes.

The original film follows a man blinded by his desire for revenge and hatred. The masked vigilante seeks for revenge and fights against VALA, a huge criminal organisation.

Rendel 2 will be shot in early 2019, and Rendel director Jesse Haaja will return to direct the sequel.

Raven Banner specialises in genre films and handled sales for Rendel, which was released in sixty countries.

“I can’t even describe how excited I am for this,” Haaja said. “It was my lifelong dream to get Rendel to the big screens.

“Can’t wait to get back to work with the guys at Raven Banner, Black Lion and Frozen Flame. Everything has been working so well with these guys since the beginning that I’m absolutely sure that we’ll bring a bigger, stronger, badder Rendel to the fans.”
