A new Nordic sci-fi series called ‘Beforeigners’ has been announced

A new Nordic science fiction television series called Beforeigners has been announced.

The series comes from the creative duo behind the hit Netflix series Lilyhammer, Anne Bjørnstad and Eilif Skodvin. Directed by Jens Lien, Beforeigners will star FInnish actress Krista Kosonen in her first Norwegian role.

A new phenomenon stars happening all over the world; powerful flashes of light occur in the ocean and people from the past appear. They are called ‘Beforeigners’ and come from the Stone Age, the Viking era, and the late 19th century. No one knows how they are getting here, but they can’t go back. Alfhildr (Kosonen), who comes from the Viking Age, is asked to team up with police officer Lars Haaland (Cleve Broch) as part of the police department’s integration programme. While investigating a murder, they unravel a conspiracy behind the origin of the mysterious mass arrivals.

No release date has been confirmed.
