A new #MeToo film has been funded by the Finnish Film Foundation

A Finnish film inspired by the #MeToo movement has received funding from the Finnish Film Foundation in their latest round of production support.

The film, which is titled Metoo, is made up of episodes in which women experience one-off incidents linked to sexual harassment and the invisible use of power towards them in private and public spaces. It stars Julia Lappalainen, Veikko Aalste, Tommi Eronen, Joel Hirvonen, Johannes Holopainen, Elina Knihtilä, Krista Kosonen among others. Directors are Kirsikka Saari, Elli Toivoniemi, Reetta Aalto, Alli Haapasalo, Anna Paavilainen, Miia Tervo, and Jenni Toivoniemi. Tuffi Films is producing.

Metoo will be released in autumn 2019.
