In this text I’d like to observe Kurt Wallander as a character in development that goes on in different media mutations for more than twenty years. I will focus on representation of main character in author’s literary conception and in three different TV adaptations.

To this date we can count twelve books of Wallander’s series. Nine of those twelve were published in Sweden between the years 1991 and 1999. The last novel called The Troubled Man was issued in the year 2009 and according to closure of the story it . . .
