The American remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo has been released on Netflix UK a week after a sequel was announced.
In the film, journalist Mikael Blomkvist is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for forty years by Lisbeth Salander, a young computer hacker.
Last week it was announced that the US was making a sequel to the film, The Girl on the Spiders Web, which is the fourth book in the series.
Could this mean a Netflix-funded sequel? Doubtful, considering Spiders Web has Sony behind it. However, maybe a Netflix sequel would mean a more interesting concept?
