The upcoming MIPTV, which is the international TV and digital contact market in Cannes, will have a special focus on Nordic content. The event, which takes place between the 13th and 16th of Aprill, will see twenty top broadcasters, including the public stations in Denmark, Finland, Norway & Sweden, producers, distributors, and digital-media pioneers taking to the stage.
Curated by former programme director of Swedish pubcaster SVT, Annie Wegelius, and Swedish producer Thomas Hedberg (founder of Titan TV) for MIPTV organiser Reed MIDEM, the focus includes a Nordic Day on 14 April with seminars, show-and-tells, market overviews, digital talks and broadcaster Q&As.
But the Nordic region will also be featured in the wider MIPTV programme – MIPFormats (11 April) will show new non-scripted content from the four countries, which will also be centre stage in MIPDoc, with a spotlight on the region’s factual and documentary content.
