Danish director Rasmus Heide has started principal photography for Three Heists and a Hamster, a comedy film and the third part of a trilogy. Filming is currently taking place in Croatia.
The previous two films, All for One (2011) and All for Two (2013) were huge successes in Denmark – selling 0.8 million tickets. The third film stars regulars Rasmus Bjerg, Mick Øgendahl and Jonatan Spang as petty-criminal siblings Timo, Ralf and Nikolai, but besides that things have changed. Timo has become a law-abiding citizen and found a job as a nursery teacher, and Nikolai has got divorced and is about to lose visitation rights for his son if he doesn’t hand over five years worth of child support. Now their father Arno has died, and when they learn that his most valuable possession – an old motorcycle – has been left to an unknown fourth brother, Timo and Ralf take off for Italy; however, the brother appears to be a sister, Kim (Sonja Richter), and since the bike has been confiscated by a local fur manufacturer and mafioso, the three siblings have to prepare for a major coup.
The film is produced by Fridthjof Film with Denmark’s TV2, Nordisk Film and Radiator Film, as well as Croatia’s Spiritus Movens and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre. Nordisk Film Distribution has scheduled local release for the 2nd of February 2017.
