Hans Petter Moland remaking IN ORDER OF DISAPPEARANCE in English

Norwegian director Hans Petter Moland is set to remake his successful 2014 Norwegian film In Order of Disappearance in English.

The original film was a huge success – premiering at Berlinale and going on to thrill both audiences and critics. The original comedy starred Stellan Skarsgard, Kristofer Hivju, Kåre Conradi, Anders Baasmo Christensen, Jakob Oftebro, Pål Sverre Hagen and Jan Gunnar Røise – to name a few.

Deadline broke the news that Hans Petter Moland was going to remake the film in English, with British actor Liam Neeson to play the lead character. The script will be written by Frank Baldwin and Studiocanal is producing.

Neeson will play the character that Skarsgard portrayed – a snowplow driver who enjoys the simplicity of life, until his son is murdered and turns out to be more sinister than the accidental overdose it’s made out to be. The film then turns into a tense action thriller comedy, where Skarsgard is out for revenge and the bodies of the bad guys pile up.

What do you think of In Order of Disappearance being remade?
