The statistics for Danish film in 2015 have now been released by the Danish Film Institute, with Klown Forever topping the charts for admissions. Overall, 14.2 million Danes visited the cinema, a 15% rise compared to 2014.
24 Danish films reached the cinemas last year, selling 4.2 million tickets and securing a rather high market share of 29.7%. To put that into perspective, this is among Europe’s top domestic shares and the second best result for Danes since 1978.
