In the run-up to MIPCOM, Beta Film has secured worldwide deals for the Norwegian drama seriesMammon produced by NRK Drama. The 10×60’ political thriller was picked up by Germany’s ARD Degeto with Polyband acquiring the German Home Video-rights. Other deals were closed with ORF for Austria, Sky (Pay TV), SBS (Free TV) and Roadshow (HV) for Australia and New Zealand as well as HOT Israel (Pay TV), LRT Lithuania (Free TV), Antena TV Bucharest (Free TV). Furthermore final negotiations are under way for a Pay TV sale in France. The Norwegian-language TV drama premiered late March on Channel Four’s More 4 in the UK and 20th Century Fox Television optioned US remake-rights via DRG which handles Mammon’s format sales. 

The series created by the brother-duo Vegard and Gjermund Eriksen picked up earlier this month the Golden Bird Prize for Best Mini-Series at the Seoul International Drama Awards and Cecilie Mosli was awarded Best Director. It screened recently at the Rome Fiction Festival and will bow at the Cologne Conference in Germany.
